In 1885, the maternity of Colmar was founded by Caroline Binder, supported by the Pasteur HORST and the Mayor of Colmar, Camille SCHLUMBERGER to help young single mothers in large social problems (rejection by society).
In 1893, the work was recognized as a charity. It was not until 1931 that a nursery is added as a second business line.
In 1945, the association change his name : "The Nursery - House maternal "and became tenant of the existing building at Logelbach on a property of the General Council of Haut-Rhin.
Over time, with the intention of the Board of Directors, its successive directors and its funders (General Council of Haut-Rhin, DDASS), the institution has adapted to create new services and provide support a modern and efficient for different segments received.
In early 2004 the Association became aware of the ambiguity and unclear message it refers to those admitted to the various partners, the public at large retaining the name "The Nursery." Taking these developments into account and for the sake of future Social Prospects Association decided in October 2003 to amend its articles and take the name of "Association Caroline Binder."
Today the association is still a work BINDER C. Protestant affiliated with the "Federation of evangelical work in the region is - Protestant Union of Mutual Aid" rendering a service to society without religious discrimination or religious.
The combination of reference is a private non-profit organization whose Board of Directors consists of twenty volunteer members.
It works in the social and medico social and wishes to promote the great values of Protestantism for the welcome and the staff :
• Give back to man his place
• The choice of conscience
• Autonomy
• Citizenship
The charter association was largely inspired by these values. The specificity of the religious establishment is only meant to refer etymologically to the word meaning "religere" ie connect, to link to accommodate everyone : Children and their parents, residents of Centre Maternal and staff in respect of their identity, without discrimination and taking into account all dimensions of the person.
L’association de référence est une association privée à but non lucratif dont le Conseil d’Administration est composé d’une vingtaine de membres bénévoles.
Elle œuvre dans le champ social et médico social et souhaite promouvoir les grandes valeurs du protestantisme pour les accueillis et le personnel :
• Redonner sa place à l’homme
• La liberté de choix de conscience
• L’autonomie
• La citoyenneté
La charte associative est largement inspirée par ces valeurs. La spécificité religieuse de l’établissement n’a pour but que de se référer étymologiquement à ce mot qui signifie « religere » c’est à dire relier, faire lien afin d’accueillir chacun : Les enfants et leurs parents, les résidentes du Centre maternel et le personnel dans le respect de leur identité, sans discrimination et en tenant compte de toutes les dimensions de la personne.
